2018 marks the Centenary Year for Newcastle Grammar School. During this year to celebrate this occasion, the school is hosting a free concert in King Edward Park for the Newcastle community. The event will be a fantastic evening out for families with Newcastle Grammar Schools music ensembles to entertain you with their many talented students and Alumni, Justine Clarke from ABC kids and John Morrison’s Swing City Big Band. You will not be able to stop your feet from tapping! Chill out early on to the sweet sounds of Pete McCredie from 2.30pm for the early comers.
There are many of our Newcastle foodies offering delicious things to eat, so have the night off from cooking, bring a rug down to the park and enjoy the afternoon with your family and friends. Grab a coffee, dessert, or something more filling! There is something for everyone.
We are so lucky to live where we do and have so much at our doorstep. You do not find many things free these days so take advantage of this opportunity and be a part of something special.
Free Shuttle buses will operate to ferry people around to make parking easy. Please see the Newcastle Grammar School website for bus stops and pick up routes.
The event is on Saturday May 5, 3.00pm to 7.00pm, with our very own local talent Pete McCredie kicking us off with some chilled out tunes whilst the crowd arrives from 2.30pm. Hope to see you there!
