A man wanted on outstanding warrants has been found hiding in the roof of a house at Cameron Park during a police raid.
Police searched the home in Springvale Circuit on Friday as part of an investigation into car thefts in the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle area in recent months.
Officers found several items suspected of being stolen including a car.
A 24 year old man was discovered in the roof cavity and was arrested.
Five other men were also arrested.
The 24 year old was charged with be carried in a conveyance, fail to supply details for form of demand and two warrants.
A 22 year old man was charged with take and drive conveyance.
A 32 year old was charged with larceny.
A 22-year-old man was charged with be carried in a conveyance.
They were refused bail to appear in Newcastle Local Court today.
An 18 year old man was also charged with be carried in a conveyance. He was given bail and will face court later this month.
A 17 year old was released and will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
