Tighes Hill Police Stand Off Ends

A police stand off in Tighes Hill police has come to an end after 17 hours.

Ricky Kincheila was arrested at 4:45am Wednesday morning after coming down from the roof of a Henry Street townhouse where he'd been perched for most of Tuesday and all of last night.

It's understood police aimed a shotgun at him, telling him he simply had to go.

The 27 year old from Wallsend has been assessed by paramedics, and is currently at Newcastle Police Station.

He's wanted for questioning over a triple stabbing at a Sydney gym and armed robberies at service stations at Shortland and Sandgate.

Kincheila was released from jail in January after serving eight years for the armed robbery of the Jewells Tavern.
