After a stinking hot Monday so far, the cool change is making its way up the coast bringing much needed relief
The Bureau of Meteorology expects it'll reach the Hunter between 6pm and 7pm tonight, causing temps to plummet.
The southerly change swept through Moruya on the south coast late this morning, dropping the mercury by about 10 degrees in an hour.
Most suburbs across the Hunter had already hit 34 degrees by 12:30pm. It was even 32 degrees at Nobbys.
Wallsend and Toronto are forecast to reach 38 degrees this afternoon.
