Police are investigating a sickening sex attack on a schoolgirl at Adamstown Heights.
The 11 year old was walking through Hudson Park at 9:15am Tuesday when she was raped by a man armed with a knife.
She was then forced into a red car and driven to bushland where she was sexually assaulted again.
The girl was finally released five hours later at Kotara train station.
She went home and alerted police, before being taken to John Hunter Hospital for a medical examination.
Police set up a crime scene in Hudson Park, while the state's Sex Crimes Squad has been brought in to investigate.
The offender is only described as having a solid/large build and brown hair.
