A pregnant woman has died following a serious crash in Charlestown last month.
It’s alleged a stolen Subaru WRX lost control and crashed at while travelling north on the Pacific Highway near the Fredrick Street intersection on September 21, colliding with a service station and parked car.
A 32-year-old woman from Gateshead travelling in the car was transported to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
She sadly passed away in hospital on Friday.
A 24-year-old Taree man who was allegedly driving remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
While a 22-year-old Gateshead man suffered minor injuries.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
