One Of The World's Biggest Planes To Land At Williamtown The Antonov 124 landing in The Netherlands (Jimmy van Drunen)

One of the largest aircraft in the world is paying Newcastle Airport a visit.

An Antonov 124 is expected to touch down at Williamtown at about 4pm Wednesday afternoon to deliver equipment for the future F-35A fighter jets.

The RAAF says the monster cargo plane is due to leave between 9am and 10am Thursday morning.

Landing and departure times may vary.

The $130 million Russian-built plane boasts an incredible 73.3m wingspan.
