Hunter Woman Busted After Selling Fireworks On Facebook

It's a cracker crack down!

Hunter Woman Busted After Selling Fireworks On Facebook

SafeWork NSW has issued an Allworth woman with a $3000 fine after she was caught illegally selling fireworks on social media in the lead-up to the October long weekend.

They also seized 20 kilograms of fireworks from a home in Beresfield, where it's believed she was distributing the "crooked crackers."

SafeWork and Police have teamed up to crack down on the illegal sale of fireworks via Facebook, reminding us that only licence holders are allowed to possess and use fireworks.

Anyone caught selling or buying fireworks without a licence faces fines of up to $27,000 and even 12 months in jail.
