Another young life has been tragically cut short on our roads following a bad crash near Singleton.
Two 17 year old boys were both riding their motorbikes when they collided head on with a Nissan Patrol on Commission Road at Jerrys Plains on Sunday afternoon.
One of the boys was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.
The second rider suffered serious injuries including a fractured skull, and is recovering in John Hunter Hospital.
The 59 year old driver of the Patrol has undergone mandatory tests.
Police say they're unlikely to lay any charges.
Meantime in a separate motorbike crash, a 31 year old man broke both his legs after coming off his bike at Glenbawn Dam.
