A four-year-old girl has been labelled a hero after raising the alarm following an ATV accident involving her mother north of Gloucester.
The 35-year-old was driving through a property at Bundook earlier today when the vehicle lost control and rolled down an embankment, before pinning her inside the cabin.
Her young daughter saw the accident and scrambled down the hill to her mother's aid, before then walking half a kilometre to call triple zero.
Paramedics from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew to the scene and finally freed the woman after she spent more than two hours trapped.
She was airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition with serious leg injuries.
