Driver Arrested Over Deadly Stockton Bridge Crash

Crash Investigators have made an arrest over a fiery crash on the Stockton Bridge that claimed the life of a father of two.

57 year old Joseph Cordner of Tanilba Bay died after his XR6 ute burst into flames in a multi-vehicle pile up on August 21.

It's claimed the crash was caused by a 46 year old Belmont North man driving a Ford Falcon.

He'll face Newcastle Local Court on November 15 - charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and cause bodily harm by misconduct.
