Police have charged a man following yesterday's Hunter crime spree.
A 44-year-old stands accused of threatening staff at the Telarah IGA with a knife before taking off with cash and cigarettes.
It's then claimed he robbed the Junction Village Pharmacy on Kenrick Street at gunpoint around an hour later.
He also stands accused of threatening another man with a gun at the Heatherbrae Shell service station before he was finally arrested.
The accused has been charged with four robbery-related offences and has been refused bail ahead of facing Newcastle Local Court this afternoon.
