Footage has emerged of former Prime Minister Tony Abbott helping out locals after embers from a nearby fire ignited on another property's fencing.
According to the Daily Telegraph, Mr Abbott has been helping out with the Davidson Rural Fire Brigade after the Beacon Hill bushfires today.
"Obviously it was an interesting situation, but it appears now to be under control," Mr Abbott said.
Barry Cafe, whose Mr Abbott saved, was full of praise for the former PM.
"He's a top bloke...we couldn't do without them (RFS)," he said.
