Terrorism has raised it's ugly head a bit closer to home overnight.
Two suicide bombers detonated their weapons at a busy bus terminal in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta. The blast killed three police officers immediately, and injured another 10 people at the scene.
Witnesses say the scene was covered with human body parts and shattered glass. The bombing happened around 9pm local time as police were trying to secure a parade by a local group.
So far no terror group has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Indonesia remains on high alert though, as the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country, with fears over a string of plots and attacks in recent times by militants linked to Islamic State. Authorities say hundreds of radicals from the Southeast Asian country have flocked to fight with IS.
