Pope Francis has been left with some bruises after a minor accident in the Popemobile over the weekend.
He lost his balance while moving through a crowd in Cartagena, Colombia, and hit his head on the framework of the vehicle.
He was left with bruising on his left cheekbone and eyelid, however the Vatican has confirmed that he had received an ice-treatment and was fine.
The 80-year-old head of the Catholic Church continued his tour despite the blood and even made a joke about the incident.
"I was punched. I'm fine," he said.
