The high court has handed down its ruling on the fate of the seven politicians caught up in the dual citizenship saga.
It has found that Barnaby Joyce is ineligible to sit in parliament.
Scott Ludlum, Larissa Waters and Malcolm Roberts and Fiona Nash were all also found ineligible.
Matt Canavan and Nick Xenophon were found to be eligible.
As Joyce is the only lower house MP, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will need to move for a by-election for Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce's New England electorate.A by-election poses a significant threat to the current government's one set majority.
