Every time a new phone hits the market, there's a small section of society who find pure joy in testing their physical limits. Essentially, finding out how easy it is to smash human kinds newest technical marvel into smithereens.
The latest victim of such YouTube stardom, is none other than the iPhone 8.
iPhone 8 hit the streets last week, as the first to feature a glass back since 2011. Apple had the smart idea for a couple of years to make their phones out of much tougher aluminium, but has since reverted to all-glass for it's phone bodies.
Here's the test video put together by the crew at SquareTrade, an insurance company that specialises in protecting electronics. The drop tests compare the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus to the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

Spoiler: The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are definitely not very durable.
The iPhone 8 sustained several cracks and lost glass in a six-foot drop test, and the screen shattered as well.
The iPhone 8 Plus fared even worse, with the back of the phone shattering almost entirely upon being dropped, and the screen looked significantly worse.
In the end, both the Galaxy phone and the iPhones cracked on all sides on their first drop.
