Brisbane's Weather Update: Flash Flooding Hits Brisbane

We're all thinking of Queenslanders living in the South-East of the state today.

Severe weather warnings have been issued and 122mm has already fallen in 3 hours at Aspley, with a whopping 135mm at Alderley.

Firefighters have reportedly rushed to save three people in floodwaters.

The advice is IF IT's FLOODED, FORGET IT.

The Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Steve Gollschewski feels the public isn’t listening.

"It's really important we get the messaging out there that people need to take heed of our warnings."

"Unfortunately we are seeing some instances of people driving though water already, even in the Brisbane area. We have to remind people this is early days yet, it's going to get worse. The places that normally flood will continue to flood."

Thankfully the severe thunderstorm warning has been cancelled, but a severe weather warning is still in place:
