An Australian man has died while holidaying in Thailand, falling to his death in a parasailing accident off Phuket.
In a video filmed by his wife, it shows 71-year-old Roger Hussey cracking a big smile while he's being put into his harness on the beach. He had only been in the air for a few seconds when he seems to come loose, plunging about 30 metres into the sea.
Beachgoers rushed into the water to drag him out but he sadly passed away in hospital a short time later.
The incident is believed to have happened on the same beach where Aussie woman Emily Collie was killed in a jetski accident back in February.
The parasailing operator and driver are now facing prosecution over Hussey's death, charged with reckless driving causing death.
